Steady Performance with Strong Finish Camilo Troncoso, a 51-year-old runner from Ellenwood, GA, participated in the 2025 Mesa Marathon. Competing in the Half Marathon event, Camilo completed the course with a total elapsed time of 1:35:20, maintaining a consistent average pace of 7:16 min/mile. Notably, Camilo's performance was strongest in the third, fifth, and sixth miles, with split paces of 6:50, 7:08, and 6:48 min/mile respectively. His fastest split occurred in the 13th mile, clocking in at an impressive 6:32 min/mile, showing a well-executed push towards the finish. While he started at a pace of 7:24 min/mile, he demonstrated resilience by adjusting and improving his pace at various intervals, particularly noticeable in the sixth mile. As a member of the Atlanta Run Club, Camilo finished 16th in his M50-54 age division out of a large field of participants. Focusing on maintaining an even pace throughout the race could benefit future race outcomes.
