Consistent Mid-Race Surge Propels Performance Nathaniel Ashcraft completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon in 1:40:55 with an overall pace of 7:42 min/mile. Notably, he showed remarkable consistency and performance improvements in the mid-race section. Starting with an 8:38 min/mile pace, he significantly accelerated, recording consistent sub-8-minute splits from mile 2 onwards, with a swift 7:11 min/mile at mile 6. His capability to maintain a strong pace through to mile 8, improved his positioning, particularly strengthening his standing in his age division as he advanced. Throughout the race, Nathaniel placed 583rd overall, 374th among males, and 58th in his division of M25-29. Notable improvements in his rank are observed from mile 1 to mile 8, highlighting his strategic pacing and endurance capabilities.
