Steady Middle-of-the-Pack Performance Stewart Dickson's race in the 2025 Mesa Marathon was marked by consistent pacing and a strong finish. He began with a measured pace of 11:05 min/mile in the first mile and picked up momentum, dropping the pace to 10:32 min/mile by the second mile. Throughout the 13.1-mile course, Stewart maintained an average pace of 10:24 min/mile. This consistency is especially notable in his later miles, maintaining the same pace from mile 9 through 13. Stewart's effort placed him 19th in the M65-69 division out of several competitors, and he completed the race in an overall time of 2:16:15. One highlight was Stewart's pacing improvement early in the race where he broke the 10-minute barrier in the second mile with a 9:59 split. Significant recovery was seen in later miles following a slight drop in pace at mile 7 with a 10:36 split. Continue to work on maintaining that early pace improvement and finishing strong on all miles.
