Consistent Pace with Strategic Gains Nicolas Winston from Tampa, FL tackled the 2025 Mesa Marathon by maintaining a consistent pace throughout the race. He began with a solid 7:42 min/mile at mile 1, gradually adjusting to a slightly varying pace between 7:38 min/mile and 8:12 min/mile over the marathon's duration. His fastest split occurred at mile 7 with a 7:18 min/mile pace, showcasing his potential for speed. Despite minor fluctuations in split times, Nicolas managed an average pace of 8:03 min/mile over the 26.2 miles, demonstrating endurance for the entire marathon. He placed 782nd overall out of 3,624 participants, ranking 119th in his division (M30-34).
