Consistent Pacing with Strong Finishes Scott Kam achieved a total elapsed time of 3:56:39 in the 2025 Mesa Marathon, averaging a 9:01 min/mile pace across the 26.2-mile distance. Notably, Scott’s first mile was his fastest at 8:32, and his pace stayed under 9:00 min/mile for the majority of the race, demonstrating consistent effort. His overall position was 1441 out of 3624 participants, placing him in the top third of the field. One of the highlights was a significant improvement at mile 19, where Scott accelerated to an 8:44 min/mile pace, achieving his best placement jump of the race—moving up significantly to 1117th place overall. While mile 24's pace slightly dropped to 9:43 min/mile, this did not heavily affect his overall performance. Focusing on maintaining this pace consistency towards the end can help improve performance further. Overall, Scott delivered a well-paced performance with room to enhance those late-race miles.
