Steady Improvement with Strategic Pacing Jon Mitton delivered a consistent performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon. His finish time was 1:50:43, averaging an 8:27 min/mile pace, showing an improvement from his previous timing of 1:52:19 at the 2022 Mesa Marathon. Jon strategically improved his pace during most of the race, particularly noticeable with a faster than average split during mile 6, clocking a 7:20 split pace. Though the last few miles indicated a slowing pace, with mile 11 reaching a 10:53 min/mile, Jon successfully maintained composure overall. He ranked 109th in his M30-34 division out of 3859 participants, an admirable finish. Racing for the "Livin on a Prayer" team, Jon might consider focusing on sustaining momentum in the latter part of the race to optimize his finish time further. Overall, a strong display of pacing strategy and resilience on the course.
