Consistent Early Pacing, Strong Finish Challenges Hyrum maintained a consistent pace in the early stages of the 2025 Mesa Marathon, initially clocking an impressive 6:42 min/mile for his first mile and maintaining split paces under 7:00 min/mile for the first 20 miles. This consistent pacing is commendable and shows strong discipline through the early part of the race. He was consistently placed in the top 50 of his M25-29 division. In the final stretch, the pace increased, dropping to 8:20 min/mile from miles 21 to 26. Although this affected his overall pace, he completed the marathon with an average pace of 7:10 min/mile. Ending with a time of 3:08:01 offers a reliable baseline for future marathons. Fine-tuning pacing for the last segment can enhance overall time as his early pacing suggests capability for a faster finish.
