Consistent Performance in Mesa Marathon Michele Cason achieved a total time of 2:30:18 in the 2025 Mesa Marathon, maintaining a relatively consistent pace of 11:28 min/mile over the half marathon distance of 13.1 miles. A highlight was Michele's steady start, with initial splits showing strong pacing: 10:44 min/mile for the first mile and progressively faster paces down to 10:32 min/mile by the third mile. As the race progressed, Michele's pace slightly decreased, peaking at 12:55 min/mile in the final mile. Comparatively, Michele improved her time from the 2023 Mesa Marathon, where she recorded 2:40:46. This improvement of over 10 minutes indicates significant progress. Notably, her split times, especially in the first half of the race, were faster than the latter part. Future training could focus on maintaining earlier pacing throughout the race to reduce the impact of pace drop-off in the later miles, which can further improve results.
