Consistent Pacing with Strong Start in Half Marathon Maria Guadalupe Vizcarra Ruiz showcased a consistent performance during the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon. Starting with a solid pace of 11:54 min/mile in the first mile, she gradually improved her speed to 11:13 min/mile in the second mile, reflecting a strong initial push. Over the course of the race, Maria maintained steady paces hovering around the 11:30 to 11:50 min/mile mark until mile 10. A slight decrease in pace occurred in the last few miles, reaching up to 12:52 min/mile. Overall, she completed the half marathon in 2:40:38 with an average pace of 12:15 min/mile. Her final placement was 1434th among female participants and 216th in her division, F30-34. For future races, it could be beneficial to focus on the pacing strategy for the latter part of the race to sustain earlier momentum throughout all splits.
