Consistent Improvement and Strong Finish Daniel Petrakovitz displayed a commendable performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K, finishing with an elapsed time of 1:16:57 and an average pace of 12:24 min/mile. Overcoming a detailed field of 2,107 participants, Daniel secured 1,149th place overall and 69th in his division, M45-49. Impressively, Daniel demonstrated consistent improvements at each mile, which culminated in a final mile split of 10:36 min/mile, significantly faster compared to his initial mile. Comparing Daniel's performance to previous Mesa Marathon entries, there is a noticeable improvement. From a 15:01 min/mile average pace in 2023 to 13:32 min/mile in 2024, culminating in today's 12:24 min/mile, the progress is evident. Maintaining a steady pace until the last few miles, he gave a strong finish that highlights his training effectiveness and race strategy. Continuing to push this pacing strategy might yield even better results in future races.
