Steady Improvement and Strong Finish Maria Jose De Avila demonstrated consistent pacing in the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K. Starting with a 10:32 min/mile pace in the first mile and improving to a 9:53 min/mile pace by the sixth mile, Maria maintained a steady performance throughout. Her ability to gradually improve her pace is evident in the splits, especially in the fourth mile, where she achieved her best pace of 9:39 min/mile. Maria completed the race with an overall time of 1:01:26, maintaining an average pace of 9:54 min/mile over the 6.2-mile course.
