Steady Pace with Slight Deviations Cara Johnson, 31, from Glendale, AZ, completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon with a finish time of 4:15:28. Her overall pace was 9:45 min/mile. The marathon consisted of 26.2 miles, and Cara's overall placement was 1,844th out of 3,624 participants. Her gender place was 606th, and her division place for females aged 30-34 was 108th. Notably, her pace remained consistent throughout the marathon, although there were some variations, particularly during miles 21 and 23, where she had her slowest split times of 11:09 and 11:02, respectively. Early in the race, during the first mile, Cara achieved her fastest split time of 8:43. Her pace stayed relatively steady with minor fluctuations, showing strong consistency across most of the distance. Compared to her previous race, a half marathon in 2024, she maintained similar pace dynamics. Continuing to work on consistency in her later miles could enhance her overall performance for future races.
