Consistent Pacing Shines at Marathon Kayla Josephson maintained a strong and steady pace throughout the 2025 Mesa Marathon, completing the 26.2-mile course with an overall time of 3:00:31. Her average pace of 6:53 min/mile was consistent with her performance, especially notable given her initial miles in the 6:38-6:44 min/mile range. Kayla rose through the ranks, improving her position from 263rd overall at the 1-mile mark to 210th by the finish line. This consistent progression reflects both her stamina and strategy. Within her age division of Female 30-34, Kayla excelled, placing 4th. She showed great strength in miles 1 through 10, maintaining a top 10 position in her gender and division. Among the 3624 total participants, Kayla's final placement at 13th in gender showcases her competitive edge. A brief slowdown was observed after mile 20; focusing on maintaining her earlier momentum could yield even stronger future performances. Great job representing Creighton PTs!
