Consistent Performance Over Marathon Distance Marissa from CD Obregon represented Norteam Runners in the 2025 Mesa Marathon. Maintaining a steady pace throughout the marathon, she completed 26.2 miles in 3:26:34, averaging a pace of 7:53 min/mile. Her strategic pacing allowed her to secure a strong position, ranking 147th among female participants and 33rd in her division (F35-39) out of 3624 total participants. She started off with a brisk 7:26 min/mile in the first mile, demonstrating a robust initial pace. Throughout the race, Marissa showcased consistency, particularly between miles 7 and 19, where her pace fluctuated slightly around 7:44 to 7:46 min/mile. Although her pace marginally dropped to an 8:28 min/mile at mile 21, she rallied and improved her pace to 7:32 min/mile by mile 26. Continuing to work on maintaining a steady split near the race's end could further enhance her overall time and placement.
