Consistent Excellence and Division Victory Austin Lavin delivered a strong performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon, finishing with an elapsed time of 2:25:39 and an average pace of 5:33 min/mile. Remarkably, he secured 1st place in the M25-29 division from the onset, maintaining a steady pace throughout. Notably, his fastest split was at mile 1 with a 5:18 min/mile pace. His even pacing allowed him to finish 8th overall out of 3,624 participants and maintain a consistent pace across most of the race segments. Reviewing his splits, Lavin showed impressive ability with multiple sub-5:30 miles, particularly excelling in the final stretch with a 5:19 pace in mile 26 demonstrating his endurance. While there were some mile splits around the 5:50 mark, his overall performance remained consistent. An area to enhance could be achieving fewer fluctuations in pacing, ensuring even greater time efficiency in future races.
