Consistent Acceleration and Strong Finish Heather Klein showcased a consistent performance throughout the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K. Starting with a pace of 8:43 min/mile in the first mile, Heather progressively increased her speed, improving her pace in subsequent miles to 8:24, 8:17, 8:11, and 8:04 min/mile. This determination to quicken her pace resulted in an impressive final mile at 7:54 min/mile and peak speed of 7:06 min/mile in her final split. Her overall elapsed time was 49:06, maintaining an admirable average pace of 7:55 min/mile over the 6.2-mile course. Heather placed 3rd in her F45-49 division out of the large field of participants, indicating strong competitiveness within her age group. The steady improvement across each mile is commendable, with minimal decrease in pace towards the race's end, highlighting her stamina and race strategy. Continued focus on maintaining a strong mid-race pace can further elevate future performances.
