Consistently Pacing Through the Race Jeff Stevens, running for the 50 States Half Marathon Club, showcased a steady performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon, completing the half marathon with an elapsed time of 2:58:52 and an average pace of 13:39 min/mile. His pace remained consistent, with his fastest split being the third mile at 12:41 min/mile. Jeff's performance placed him 6th in his M75-79 division out of a challenging field of competitors. Throughout the race, Jeff demonstrated a commendable steadiness in pacing, maintaining a nearly uniform pace from mile to mile. His overall place was 3087 out of 3859 participants. Notably, Jeff managed to slightly pick up his pace during the 6th mile with a split pace of 12:50 min/mile. To build on this solid performance, incorporating more interval and speed work into training sessions could enhance his endurance in later stages of future races. Great effort, Jeff!
