Consistent Pace with Late Race Surge Kim Martin demonstrated an impressive performance in the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon, finishing with an overall time of 1:49:11. Her average pace was steady at 8:20 min/mile. Notably, Kim’s final two miles saw a remarkable recovery and acceleration, recording a split of 8:03 min/mile at mile 11 and an even quicker 7:49 min/mile at mile 13, showing a strong finish. In the division F50-54, Kim placed 24th out of a competitive field, marking a solid standing. She demonstrated a notable improvement mid-race, with her fastest single mile split being 7:52 at mile 3. Prioritizing even pacing might help to manage the slower split at mile 8, which was her slowest at 9:34 min/mile. Overall, she maintained excellent consistency and progression throughout the race.
