Consistency Over the Distance Brody Bittner from Wheatridge, Colorado, demonstrated steady pacing at the 2025 Mesa Marathon with an overall time of 3:16:50 for the 26.2-mile race. The average pace across the event was a commendable 7:30 min/mile, placing Brody 453rd overall out of 3,624 participants. His early miles ranged from 6:47 to 7:50 min/mile, with notable spurts such as the fourth mile completed in 6:29 min/mile. The performance showcased resilience, particularly in the latter half of the race where mile splits generally stayed close to his average pace. Despite a slower pace in miles 24 and 25, where splits extended to 10:38 and 12:07 min/mile respectively, Brody maintained a strong overall pace, indicating good endurance. As a team member of Goblins, Goons, & Gremlins, Brody secured the 39th place in his division (M19-24), an encouraging result.
