Steady Progress with a Strong Finish Michael Hansen, representing "The Cooler Hansens," completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K with an elapsed time of 1:36:29, averaging a steady pace of 15:33 min/mile. Starting off with a pace of 17:54 min/mile for the first mile, Michael displayed consistent improvement throughout the race. His fastest split came in the last mile, clocking in at 14:16 min/mile, highlighting his ability to accelerate as the race progressed. Consistently positioned in the middle of his division (83rd place in M45-49), Michael's pacing strategy paid off significantly in the latter stages of the race. Analyzing splits indicates a commendable negative splitting strategy, especially from Mile 1 through Mile 6. The commitment to gradually increase pace mile after mile shows strong endurance.
