Steady Progress with Strong Finish Kaehl Hansen, a 14-year-old from Mesa, AZ, delivered a commendable performance in the 10K event at the 2025 Mesa Marathon. Kaehl started strong, completing the first mile in 10:43, displaying a consistent early pace. Throughout the race, his split times varied slightly, showing resilience despite some fluctuations in pace. Notably, Kaehl managed to improve his pace again in the last two miles with splits of 10:52 and 10:49, demonstrating strong effort towards the finish. Completing the 10K with an overall time of 1:12:07 and an average pace of 11:37 per mile, Kaehl placed 29th in his division. His consistent middle-late race split times are a solid foundation to build upon for future races.
