Consistent Improvement and Strong Finish at Mesa Marathon Serena East demonstrated notable improvement in her running performance during the 2025 Mesa Marathon, completing the half marathon in 2:18:38. Her average pace throughout the race was 10:34 min/mile, marking a positive advancement from the 11:08 min/mile pace at her previous race. Impressively, she completed the 13th mile with her fastest mile split of 9:48 per mile, which was a significant enhancement compared to her earlier splits. Serena maintained a consistent pace with gradual improvements, reaching an overall 109th place in her age division. In comparison to her 2024 performance, Serena improved her overall placement and gained higher placement within her age division F45-49. Representing her team, SWET, Serena showcased endurance and capability. To enhance her performance further, maintaining the pace achieved in the 13th mile across more segments could be beneficial. Her progression between races is a commendable sign of her dedication and effort in training.
