Consistent Effort with Optimizable Pacing Strategy David maintained a strong and consistent effort throughout the 2025 Mesa Marathon. Starting with an impressive pace of 6:59 min/mile in the initial three miles, David showed notable pacing consistency with only minor fluctuations. Mile 19 was particularly strong at a 7:09 min/mile pace, demonstrating a strategic push in the later stages. His overall pace was 7:32 min/mile, completing the marathon in 3:17:25. Within the M55-59 division, he achieved a commendable 11th place out of the competitors, reflecting a solid performance. Examining the second half of the race, there was a slight slowdown from miles 13 to 18, with the pace ranging from 7:32 to 8:00 min/mile. Working on maintaining the stronger pace observed in mile 1 through 3 could enhance future performances. While this year's time was slightly slower than previous bests in 2022 and 2023, continued focus on even pacing could bring times closer to previous personal bests.
