Consistent Pace Pushes Performance Claudia Quiroz demonstrated a strong performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon's Half Marathon, maintaining a steady improvement in pace throughout the race. Her overall time was 2:06:11, with an impressive final split of 8:26 min/mile. Throughout the 13.1 miles, Claudia’s pace consistently improved, evidenced by her transition from an initial 11:55 min/mile to a brisk 9:38 min/mile by the final elapsed mile. Over the course of the race, Claudia managed to improve her placement within her division, moving from 72nd place in her age group at the first mile to 66th by the end. Particularly noteworthy was her ability to decrease her elapsed pace from 10:20 min/mile at mile 3 to the final 9:38 min/mile. While her results are impressive, aiming for an evenly distributed pace earlier in the race could contribute to even stronger finishes in future races.
