Consistent Pace with a Strong Finish Katherine demonstrated remarkable consistency throughout the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon. She maintained a steady pace, with her overall elapsed time being 2:08:30, averaging a pace of 9:48 min/mile. Her initial mile clocked at a pace of 10:35 min/mile, which was progressively improved in the subsequent miles, showcasing her ability to gradually increase speed. The fastest mile was completed with a pace of 8:51 min/mile during the third mile, and a solid effort kept her within a relatively narrow range of splits throughout. Throughout the event, Katherine's placement shifted, reflecting her stamina and strategic race conduct. Her place varied from 1335 overall at the first mile to 1766 by the end, with consistent improvement in her divisional rank. Ending the race with a strong 9:14 min/mile split, Katherine closed out a commendable effort. Perhaps focusing on maintaining the energy for consistent mid-race pacing could further enhance results next time.
