Consistent Start with Strong Team Support Michael maintained a steady pace in the initial miles of the 2025 Mesa Marathon, clocking consistent splits between 8:01 and 8:12 min/mile for the first 13 miles. Notably, his split at mile 12 was his fastest at 7:26 min/mile. His finishing time was 3:57:35 with an average pace of 9:04 min/mile. In the overall standings, he placed 1470 out of 3624 participants and was 106th in his division, M45-49. Representing the East Valley Runners, Michael showed potential in the first half of the race. A more focused approach for the last miles could aid in reducing the deceleration observed in the final sections, particularly miles 21 through 25, where the pace averaged above 10 min/mile. Continued refinement in energy management throughout longer races can leverage his consistent early performance for improved results.
