Date: February 8, 2025 Participant: Jared Landrie #12326 Race: 2025 Mesa Marathon Distance: 26.2 miles Weather: Perfect running conditions at 63°F, partly cloudy skies, and a slight breeze from the east in Mesa, AZ.

Consistent Start, Challenging Finish Jared Landrie maintained a steady pace during the initial miles of the Mesa Marathon, averaging 7:52 to 8:01 min/mile through the first 10 miles. Notably, his fastest split occurred during the 7th mile with a time of 7:45. Throughout this portion, his position shifted as he managed to hold steady within the top 85 of his division, placing as high as 79 among M19-24. The latter miles saw some slowing, with splits increasing to as high as 11:33 min/mile by mile 21. His overall pace shifted to 8:58 min/mile, and he concluded the marathon with an elapsed time of 3:55:13. Though his performance remained consistent in the given conditions, there is potential for improvement in maintaining pace consistency in the latter half, particularly beyond mile 19. His effort placed him 114th in his division and highlighted his ability to endure and finish strong.
