Date: February 8, 2025 Participant: Tyler Tulloch #14209 Race: 2025 Mesa Marathon Distance: 26.2 miles Weather: Perfect running conditions at 63°F, partly cloudy skies, and a slight breeze from the east in Mesa, AZ.

Consistent Start, Challenging Finish Tyler Tulloch, aged 34 from Middletown, CT, participated in the 2025 Mesa Marathon. He started strong, maintaining an impressive pace of around 7:09 min/mile for the first three miles. By mile 10, his pace varied slightly, averaging approximately 7:17 min/mile, showing a consistent early race performance. He reached his maximum overall position at mile 19, ranking 226th overall and 30th in his division, showcasing a notable highlight in his race. As the race progressed, Tyler's pace gradually decreased. By mile 20, his pace had changed to 8:02 min/mile, and continued to further decrease later on. The final 6 miles saw a more pronounced deceleration with paces ranging from 9:07 to 9:53 min/mile, finishing with an overall race pace of 7:57 min/mile. For future races, Tyler could benefit from strategies focused on pacing and endurance in the latter stages. His impressive start and perseverance are commendable.
