Consistently Strong Performance with an Impressive Finish Maura Szendey demonstrated remarkable consistency in her half marathon performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon. She maintained a steady pace throughout the race, with an overall pace of 8:43 minutes per mile, covering a total distance of 13.1 miles in 1:54:23. Notably, Maura excelled in her division, securing 1st place in the F65-69 category. She consistently claimed the top position in her division for nearly all splits, except at mile 10, where she temporarily fell to 2nd place. Analyzing her splits, Maura achieved her fastest mile in the 13th mile with a split pace of 8:09 minutes per mile, demonstrating an impressive finish. Despite minor fluctuations, her pacing ranged predominantly between 8:15 and 9:39 minutes per mile.
