Date: February 8, 2025 Participant: Stacy Hankner #11704 Race: 2025 Mesa Marathon Distance: 26.2 miles Weather: Perfect running conditions at 63°F, partly cloudy skies, and a slight breeze from the east in Mesa, AZ.

Consistent Pacing and Strong Finish Stacy exhibited consistent pacing throughout the 2025 Mesa Marathon. Starting with a steady pace of 10:13 min/mile, her pace varied slightly through the race yet remained mostly consistent around the 10:10 to 11:00 min/mile mark for the first 16 miles. Notable accelerations occurred in mile 4 (9:59 min/mile) and mile 7 (9:57 min/mile), showing a strong push in the latter stages of the first half of the race. Although her pace slowed after mile 17, moving into the 11:00 to 12:00 min/mile range, Stacy maintained determination and resilience. Finishing with an elapsed time of 5:05:42 with an average pace of 11:40 min/mile, she finished in 2681st place overall. Her consistent efforts allowed her to secure 154th place in her division. To enhance future performances, Stacy could consider focusing on maintaining her earlier paces in the later stages of the marathon, especially after mile 17.
