Consistent Speed and Strong Finish Taylor Deal, representing the GRR-Glorified Rec Runners, displayed impressive consistency over the 13.1-mile course at the 2025 Mesa Marathon. Beginning with a 6:41 split for the first mile, she quickly gained momentum, achieving her fastest pace of 5:33 per mile during mile 13. Her ability to progressively quicken her pace from mile 2 (6:01 min/mile) was notable, as was maintaining an overall pace of 6:01 min/mile by race conclusion. Taylor's performance placed her 22nd in the female category and 8th in her division for females aged 30-34. Her overall finish was 101st out of 3859 participants. Taylor's consistent pacing, especially in the latter half, is commendable. The gradual acceleration exemplifies a well-planned race strategy.
