Consistent Pace with Room for Slight Adjustments Donna Stoney of Jacksonville, FL, participated in the 2025 Mesa Marathon's Half Marathon event. Over the 13.1-mile course, her final time was 2:38:39 with an average pace of 12:06 min/mile. Most notably, Donna showed remarkable improvement mid-race, with her fastest split of 11:07 min/mile occurring between the 2nd and 3rd miles. Out of 3859 participants, Donna ranked 1410th in the female category and secured a solid 45th place in her F60-64 division. Throughout the race, Donna maintained great consistency in her pacing with a slight deviation. Her splits indicate fluctuations between a swift 11:07 and a slightly slower 12:54 min/mile. The improvement at mile 3 is a performance highlight, although later splits showed slight slowing. Focusing on pacing techniques in later miles could enhance her overall time. As part of the "Black Girls RUN!" team, Donna demonstrated strong pacing amidst a competitive field.
