Impressive Finishing Kick in the 10K Helena Olmstead, age 31 from Boise, ID, completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K with a total time of 1:10:36, averaging an impressive pace of 11:23 min/mile. Her final position was 916th overall and she secured 445th in her gender category. Remarkably, she showed significant improvement in her splits, reaching a peak of 8:52 min/mile during the last mile. This consistency throughout the race displays solid pacing strategy. The standout aspect of Helena's performance was her progressive pacing. She progressively increased her pace from 13:04 min/mile in the first mile to a remarkable 8:52 min/mile in the final stretch. This shows not only endurance but a strong finishing strategy.
