Mariswaran Maintains Consistent Effort Across Splits Despite Challenging Terrain Mariswaran Balasubramanian, aged 47 from Phoenix, AZ, participated in the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K event, clocking an overall time of 2:00:02 with an average pace of 19:21 min/mile. Although the pace was slightly slower than last year's event, there is room to appreciate the control over his pacing across the race. His splits offered a glimpse into the varied strategies he employed. Notably, the first mile was completed in 14:33, demonstrating his ability to start strong and stay consistent.
