Consistent Improvement in Pacing and Time Tim Martinez delivered a steady performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon. Over 13.1 miles, he improved on his previous year's time by almost four minutes, finishing with an official time of 2:58:42 and an average pace of 13:38 min/mile. Early on, Tim demonstrated a strong start with his fastest split at mile 3 clocking in at 11:55 min/mile. His consistent pacing is evident as his splits only saw minor variations, allowing him to maintain a steady overall pace throughout the race. Notably, Tim's place in the M50-54 division saw little fluctuation, highlighting consistency among his peers, although the division competition was tougher this year. His performance among male participants placed him 1463rd out of 3859 participants. Moving forward, focusing on smoothing out the pace fluctuation in the latter part of the race might help maintain the initial momentum, especially between miles 7 to 10. Overall, Tim's strategies show gradual improvements and promise for future races.
