Consistent Starts but Slower Finish Evident in Sandra Nunez Pina's Marathon Performance Sandra Nunez Pina, representing "Strong Is Beautiful" from Buckeye, AZ, tackled the 2025 Mesa Marathon with admirable consistency in her early splits. Her initial pace was solid, finishing the first mile in 7:53. Maintaining an impressive pace within the first 4 miles, her resilience was evident as she shifted between 7:41 and 8:16-minute miles. Her recorded timings in this initial phase place her strongly within the top 200 of her gender, with a notable 18th place in her division for her age group.
