Consistent Performance with Room for Growth Jon Sherman demonstrated consistent pacing in the 2025 Mesa Marathon, completing the half marathon with an elapsed time of 1:59:14. His average pace was 9:06 min/mile. Notably, his pace improved over his personal bests from previous years, finishing similarly to his performance from the 2024 Mesa Marathon at a slightly slower pace by two seconds. Jon showcased strong pacing in the latter stages, such as mile 13, clocking a remarkable 8:37 min/mile split. While his overall placement was 1332 out of 3859 participants, Jon exhibited strategic mid-race acceleration, particularly between miles 5 through 7 where his pace improved to sub-9-minute miles. As a seasoned runner with a background in pacing just below two hours, continuous focus on maintaining the pace observed in miles 3 and 13 could enhance his overall performance.
