Consistent Performance with Steady Progression Janae Henderson maintained a steady and consistent performance throughout the 10K race at the 2025 Mesa Marathon. Her overall elapsed time was 1:31:49, with an average pace of 14:48 min/mile. Starting with a split time of 14:37 for the first mile, Janae gradually adjusted her pace, finishing her last mile in 14:53. Notably, Janae improved her position in the event slightly from 1459 to 1458 by the fifth mile, holding a strong position through the final mile. In the Female 45-49 division, Janae finished 77th. Within the female category, she secured the 827th position. While her split paces varied slightly, maintaining splits around the 14:30 to 15:09 min/mile range indicates significant consistency. Given her solid pace sustainability throughout the race and the consistent placement in her division, focusing on pace control for future races could yield even better results. Janae's performance contributed interesting results for the Black Girls RUN! team.
