Steady Pacing with a Strong Finish Paul Mullen completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon in 2:05:57, maintaining an average pace of 9:36 min/mile. His performance was consistent across the distance, with initial splits showing improvements in pace. The 1st mile clocked in at 9:15 and improved to 8:59 by the 3rd mile. Miles 4 through 7 showed minor deceleration, but he managed to regain momentum in the 13th mile with a split pace of 9:02. Notably, his division placement remained competitive, fluctuating but concluding at 75th among his age group. Paul’s pacing showed impressive steadiness across the half marathon, contrasting previous race data from the 2023 Mesa Marathon, where he ran a full marathon at an 11:14 min/mile pace. His affiliation with Crazy Train 2.0 may have played a motivational role. Focused progression during the mid and final segments could further enhance Paul's future performances, particularly in maintaining the initial strong pace throughout.
