Consistent Pacing and Strong Finish in Marathon Performance Scott Conley, at 67, successfully completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon. He maintained a consistent pace, with an overall elapsed time of 3:54:39 and an average pace of 8:57 min/mile. Among his peak performances were the 3rd and 19th miles, both showcasing strong paces of 8:31 and 8:52 min/mile respectively. Ending with a remarkable push, he posted 8:43 min/mile on the final mile. These efforts helped Scott secure an 8th place finish in his age division, M65-69. Throughout the race, Scott demonstrated commendable consistency, rarely deviating from the average pace by more than a few seconds. Analyzing his pacing, there was only a slight dip in performance during the 5th mile, recorded at an 11:18 min/mile pace. Addressing this will further enhance his racing strategy. Scott's performance was competitive, ranking 960th out of 2,003 male participants. His disciplined approach is evident and provides a solid foundation for future races.
