Consistent Pace with Strong Finish Chukwuma Nduka, running for the Atlanta Run Club, completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon in an impressive time of 1:46:37. With a consistent average pace of 8:08 minutes per mile, Chukwuma demonstrated solid endurance across the 13.1-mile course. Notably, the consistent improvement in his pace from an initial 8:53 min/mile at mile 1 to a faster 7:10 min/mile by mile 6 indicates a strong mid-race performance. Throughout the race, Chukwuma fluctuated in his overall position but consistently maintained a strong rank within his division, finishing 42nd in the M19-24 age category out of a total of 3859 participants. His splits reveal that while there was some slow down in the second half, he managed to maintain an overall steady performance. For future races, focusing on reducing minor slowdowns in the later miles could contribute to even greater performance and personal records.
