David's Steady Half Marathon Performance David participated in the 2025 Mesa Marathon half marathon, completing the 13.1-mile race with an overall time of 1:31:28, maintaining a consistent average pace of 6:58 per mile. His initial splits were strong, starting with a 7:19 pace at the first mile but soon improving his pace to 6:42 by the third mile. His consistency was evident as several of his mile splits hovered around 7:01 to 7:06. Notably, David's final mile was his fastest, clocking in at 6:24. Overall, he placed 315th among 3,859 participants and 213th in the male category, while in the M45-49 division, he secured 21st place. David was part of the SOTREC team, demonstrating strong pacing skills. For future races, maintaining his quick finish throughout and further improving his middle-mile splits could provide an edge and potentially lead to even faster overall times.
