Consistent Effort in Marathon Performance Blake Chambal displayed a steady effort throughout the 2025 Mesa Marathon. Starting with an initial mile pace of 9:56, Blake maintained a consistent pace around the 10-minute mark for most of the race. Notably, his fastest split was at mile 7 with a 9:26 pace, which shows the capacity for a strong middle effort. While challenges occurred, such as mile 8, where the pace dipped to 12:29, Blake quickly recalibrated, showing resilience and maintaining composure. Ending with an overall time of 4:37:33, and an average pace of 10:35, Blake finished 2251st of 3624 participants, placing 174th in the M19-24 division. It's noteworthy that while it wasn't as swift as the previous year's performance of 3:09:07, the focus on a consistent approach was evident. For future races, focusing on decreasing later mile paces could prove beneficial. Staying consistent yet adaptable is key to improving his times.
