Progressive Pace in Half Marathon Performance Matt Moe, 28, from Chicago, executed a well-paced half marathon at the 2025 Mesa Marathon, completing the race in 1:58:50. Throughout the 13.1 miles, Matt demonstrated progressive improvement, finishing with an overall pace of 9:04 min/mile. Notably, his pace improved in the latter stages, with mile 11 showcasing an enthusiastic break at 8:25 min/mile, and mile 13 achieving an even faster 8:08 min/mile. This progression helped Matt secure a commendable rank, finishing 1300th overall out of 3859 participants, and 125th in his M25-29 age division. His placement improved throughout the race, ending with a split rank boost at the 13th mile. Focus on maintaining earlier consistent pacing could further improve his overall results. His participation with the "Slalom PHX Family + Friends" team added a supportive element to his race environment.
