Date: February 8, 2025 Participant: Katie Shapiro #18402 Race: 2025 Mesa Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Perfect running conditions at 63°F, partly cloudy skies, and a slight breeze from the east in Mesa, AZ.

Consistent Effort and Strong Finish in Half Marathon Katie Shapiro delivered a steady performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon with a final time of 2:05:56 and an average pace of 9:36 min/mile. Demonstrating impressive consistency, Katie managed to maintain a pace that saw minimal fluctuations throughout her splits. Notably, her quickest pace was clocked at 8:51 min/mile during mile 3, showcasing her ability to push when conditions allowed. She placed 135th in her division (F35-39), with a total of 738 women finishing ahead of her. Her strongest position came in mile 8, where she achieved 121st place in her division. Despite some slower miles, such as her 10:30 min/mile on mile 6, she efficiently recovered, as seen in mile 11 with 8:57 min/mile.
