Consistent Pacing with a Strong Finish Michelle Miller, representing the Flying Javelinas from Phoenix, AZ, delivered a steady performance in the 2025 Mesa Marathon's Half Marathon. Her overall time was 2:22:49, averaging a pace of 10:54 min/mile. Michelle maintained consistency across the race, with her initial pace at 11:07 min/mile moving to a faster 10:33 min/mile by the third mile. Notably, her pacing remained consistently close to her average for most of the race, showing good rhythm and control. Throughout the race, Michelle's positioning in her division, F50-54, ranged from 55th to 101st place, ultimately finishing 97th. Her splits between miles 1 to 13 reveal a solid performance, with her finishing mile being one of her strongest at 10:18 min/mile. Consistency was a strong point, though there was a slight increase in pace from miles 7 to 10. Working on maintaining the early race momentum through to the middle stages may yield even better results in future races.
