Date: February 8, 2025 Participant: Chun-Hung Ko #17031 Race: 2025 Mesa Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Perfect running conditions at 63°F, partly cloudy skies, and a slight breeze from the east in Mesa, AZ.

Consistent Pace and Performance Boost in the Half Marathon Chun-Hung Ko completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon with an impressive time of 2:00:17, achieving an average pace of 9:10 min/mile over the 13.1-mile course. A notable split performance was observed at mile one with a pace of 9:19 min/mile, but Chun-Hung significantly improved pace by mile three with a notable 8:20 min/mile. The tenth mile showed a slight slowdown at 9:38 min/mile, yet Chun-Hung managed a strong finish with an 8:41 min/mile pace in mile thirteen. Throughout the race, Chun-Hung maintained a relatively consistent performance, placing 807th among male participants and 84th in his M45-49 age division. This half marathon shows marked improvement compared to Chun-Hung’s previous marathon where he held a pace of 11:00 min/mile.
