Steady Improvement in Pace Yohei Ino showcased a commendable performance in the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K event. Starting with a 12:05 min/mile at the 1-mile mark, he progressively improved his pacing throughout the race. By the 6-mile mark, he had reduced his pace to 8:30 min/mile, demonstrating significant improvement and strong pacing strategy. This resulted in an average overall pace of 10:18 min/mile over the course of the entire 6.2 miles. Yohei finished the race in 1:03:57, placing 648th overall out of 2,107 participants, and 40th in his division for males aged 40-44. Notably, his placement consistently improved from starting at 836th to 647th by the final mile. Part of the Japanese Running Club, Yohei's efforts were a testament to his competitive spirit and determination, especially visible in the substantial time gains across consecutive splits. Continued focus on maintaining this improvement in pace will be beneficial in future races.
