Consistent Over the Miles Paul maintained a solid pace from start to finish at the 2025 Mesa Marathon, completing the 26.2-mile course in 2:41:07, with an average pace of 6:08 min/mile. Notably, his first split was an impressive 5:32 min/mile for the initial mile, and he was consistently steady throughout most of the race. The pacing became crucial, particularly in the final stretch, where his fastest mile was the last at 5:51 min/mile. This performance placed him 7th in his age division among 3624 participants. A review of the splits indicates fluctuations in split times, such as the 23rd mile at 6:52 min/mile. Smoothening these variations could provide an opportunity to elevate his performance. Compared to his previous marathon, Paul improved his overall time, cutting down nearly a minute from his 2023 result.
