Date: February 8, 2025 Participant: Ramiro Morales #21625 Race: 2025 Mesa 10K Distance: 6.2 miles Weather: Perfect running conditions at 63°F, partly cloudy skies, and a slight breeze from the east in Mesa, AZ.

Consistent Pace and Strong Finish Ramiro Morales, at age 59, completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K with an overall time of 2:05:09, maintaining a consistent average pace of 20:11 min/mile. The race began steadily, with his first three miles exhibiting slight improvements, starting with a 20:18 min/mile pace down to a 20:15 min/mile pace by mile three. Notably, the third mile was his fastest individual split at 18:51 min/mile, indicating potential for speed endurance improvements earlier in the race. Ramiro placed 35th in the M55-59 division, out of all the male participants. His pacing consistency was a highlight, although the fourth mile slightly slowed him to a 21:40 min/mile split. However, he successfully regained momentum and finished with faster splits in miles five and six compared to previous miles. Engaging in targeted speed work could enhance future results further. Representing Team "Type Run Diabetes," his performance showed great tenacity.
